Bodenham Arboretum is open Wednesday – Sunday 11am – 5pm throughout November.

We serve our hot and cold lunches everyday 12noon – 2pm. Booking is advised as we get extremely busy. We are also now taking Christmas bookings.

Please note: a deposit is required for groups of 15 or more.

The epicentre of the Arboretum lies around the big pool where many rare and ornamental trees can be seen in flower or fruit at all times of the year; their autumn colours are a special beauty.

The Grand Avenue, which is in it’s infancy, is planted with Pope’s Seat Provenance Beech to mature over the next century.

Wintertime at Bodenham…

Dates for your Diary…

As we enter November and the autumn colours start to fade our thoughts turn to wintertime. Later this month you can enjoy our wonderful Nativity Trail and mid December we have our Carols by Candlelight , but we hope to see you throughout the coming months to enjoy a traditional Christmas meal here in the Visitor Centre – we serve throughout the day and Thursday evenings during December.

A 10km (2 x 5km laps) multi terrain charity run, in aid of Barnardo’s, in the fantastic grounds of Bodenham Arboretum.

The Arboretum is situated in the convergence of three valleys, so there will be challenging hills and definitely plenty of mud, in addition to a few hard surfaces, as you run the boundary of the arboretum.

You will get muddy!
You will get wet!
YOU WILL HAVE FUN!

Run Distance: 10km ish (2 x 5km laps)

Surface: Multi-Terrain

Entry fee: £12 online £15 on the day (before 8.30am/Cash only) - On the day entries are subject to availability.

Age Restrictions: All competitors must be at least 18 years old on the day of the race.

Wheelchair accessibly: No

Run Start: 9:00am
Please ensure you arrive earlier to provide yourself enough time to register (if not already done so) and pick-up your running number.

Registration & Number Pick Up: From 8am until 8.30pm on the terrace at Bodenham Arboretum

Runners must identify yourself and running number will be made available to collect at the registration desk on event day. Please note you will not receive anything by post.

Additional Information: Sorry no changing facilities on site, please arrive race ready.

Please respect the arboretum premises when using their amenities and remove muddy training shoes before entering any of the buildings!

The arboretum opens to the public at 11am so we kindly request that any runners or spectatotors in the grounds after this time please purchase a ticket from the visitors centre.

Own Risk: The Terrain could be challenging especially if the weather has been poor. All runners run at their own risk and should be appropriately dressed for the conditions.

Refunds: Due to the charity nature of this event: The race organisers are unable to refund entry fees if you withdraw beforehand or the race has to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.

Alternative date: .Should the event need to be postponed due to adverse weather conditions, we will make every attempt to set an alternative date.

If we are unable to do this, the alternative date has to be cancelled or you cannot make the
alternative date there will be no refund.

LATE ENTRIES: We will only accept late entries if the race limit is not reached. Late or changed entries on the day may not feature in the results or qualify for awards. The charge for late entries will be an extra £3.

NUMBER SWAPS: If you are no longer able to run, please do not just give your number to somebody else. If you want someone else to have your place, please contact us and we will change over the details free of charge.

Our History

It all started in 1973 when David Binnian and his wife, Jennifer bought the land with a vision that took over 30 years to realise. It started as my hobby, just planting a few trees each winter, until it developed into what it is today. It’s now run as a family venture, with the second generation of Binnians fully involved in its planning, development and day-to-day management, and the third generation hovering in the wings. When Bodenham received conditional English Heritage status in 1995 it was realised that this was a major opportunity for the Arboretum to be enjoyed by the public and for it to remain in the family.
